Un arma letal contra la Siciliana

Pruijssers y Zwirs recomiendan la configuración Maroczy (e4-c4), el ataque inglés (Ae3, f3 y Dd2) y las configuraciones con Ae3/Df3. Combatir la Siciliana con una de estas tres configuraciones hace que la Siciliana Abierta sea mucho más fácil de jugar. A veces este enfoque de la apertura llevará a transposiciones que desconcertarán a los jugadores con negras, por ejemplo, si suelen jugar la Najdorf, pero de repente se encuentran en una línea de la Taimanov.
