Olimpiada de 2008: Dresde

29/10/2004 – En la Asamblea General de la FIDE había dos países que aspiraban a ser sede de la Olimpiada a disputar en 2008: Estonia, representada por su Ministro de Interior y la super-modelo Carmen Kass, y Alemania, cuyos enviados eran el Alcalde de Dresde y el Príncipe de Sajonia.
