23/02/2002 – Al menos hoy lo ha hecho con las piezas frente a Ivanchuk, al que ha vuelto a derrotar. Encabeza además la clasificación, pues el resto de las partidas han sido tablas: Shirov – Anand y Vallejo – Kasparov. Adams descansó. Buen resultado el de Vallejo en su debut en la plaza, pero no hay tiempo para festejos pues mañana se enfrenta a Anand. El resto de las partidas serán Ivanchuk – Sirov y Adams – Ponomariov.
