30/09/2004 – David Recuero, con 12 años, 11 meses y 13 días, se ha convertido en el español más jóven en conseguir norma de Maestro Internacional, superando a Paco Vallejo. Fue en el II Abierto Internacional Ayuntamiento de Mondariz, donde finalizó en tercer lugar, por detrás del portugués Antonio Frois y del armenio Karen Movsziszian.
