12/09/2002 – El resto del Mundo venció a Rusia por 52 a 48. El resultado fue incierto hasta el final, pero dos espectaculares partidas de Alexei Shirov y Teimour Radjabov decantaron la victoria a favor de la selección mundial. Shirov obtuvo el mejor resultado individual, con 7 puntos de 10 partidas y un rendimiento de 2865 puntos, incluyendo su habitual derrota frente a Kasparov.
