Shabalov vence en Seattle

19/01/2003 – Alexander Shabalov, con 35 años, llegó, vio y se llevó el premio de 25.000 USD como campeón de EE UU 2003. El que emigrase de Riga en 1992, estaba empatado con otros siete jugadores a la hora de la confrontación final. En una final de colapso nervioso, el luchador callejero superó una mala posición y logró vencer y proclamarse campeón. El título femenino aun está pendiente de decisión y se deberá disputar una eliminatoria de desempate entre Jennifer Shahade, Irina Krush y Anna Hahn. Al reportaje de John Henderson.
