Cada match de las finales presenciales sigue la estructura estándar del campeonato, compuesta por tres segmentos consecutivos.
Segmento 1: 90 minutos de partidas con control de tiempo 5+1
Segmento 2: 60 minutos de partidas con control de tiempo 3+1
Segmento 3: 30 minutos de partidas con control de tiempo 1+1
Los colores alternan de una partida a otra. El jugador mejor preclasificado lleva blancas en la primera partida de cada segmento. Una victoria otorga un punto y las tablas medio punto. Solo cuentan para el marcador las partidas que hayan comenzado antes de que expire el tiempo del segmento. Los jugadores no pueden abandonar un match, salvo durante los últimos diez minutos del segmento 1+1.

Si el marcador queda igualado tras los tres segmentos, el desempate se realiza del siguiente modo:
Se disputan hasta cuatro partidas adicionales a 1+1, manteniendo la alternancia de colores
El match concluye en cuanto un jugador alcanza 2½ puntos en este mini-match
Si persiste la igualdad, se juega una única partida Armagedón
Para el Armagedón, ambos jugadores presentan en secreto una oferta que indica cuánto tiempo (hasta un máximo de cinco minutos) están dispuestos a tener con las piezas negras. La oferta más baja obtiene las negras con ese tiempo, mientras que las blancas reciben cinco minutos y están obligadas a ganar la partida, ya que unas tablas cuentan como victoria para las negras.
