Los entusiastas del ajedrez podrán disfrutar nuevamente del torneo estelar Tata Steel Chess del 17 de enero al 2 de febrero de 2025 en Wijk aan Zee (Países Bajos). El cartel de participantes del 87o Torneo Tata Steel Chess, con nada menos que cinco jugadores entre los diez mejores del mundo, será una vez más de primer nivel este año. El evento contará también con el aspirante a campeón mundial más joven de la historia. El indio Dommaraju Gukesh competirá por el título mundial en Singapur del 23 de noviembre al 13 de diciembre y podría convertirse en el campeón mundial más joven de la historia.

Gukesh es una cara conocida en el Torneo Tata Steel en Wijk aan Zee: el año pasado, perdió en la emocionante final en el desempate contra el chino Wei Yi. Wei Yi, por supuesto, defenderá su título.
