27/03/2003 – La penúltima ronda del XII Torneo Amber no estuvo exenta de sorpresas: Ljubojevic ganó su primera partida y lo hizo a la ciega y con negras frente a Leko, que perdió así la oportunidad de alcanzar a Anand, que empató su encuentro contra Bareev. Topalov y Morozevich también quedaron igualados. Shirov sigue escalando posiciones y ganó a Gelfand 1'5 - 0'5. En la ronda final Anand (1º) se las verá con Topalov (3º) y Leko (2º) con Gelfand (6º).
