Torneo de Candidatos 2024 en Toronto
El Torneo de Candidatos 2024 de la FIDE se celebrará del 3 al 23 de abril en Toronto (Canadá). Se trata de un acontecimiento histórico, ya que es la primera vez que el Torneo de Candidatos se celebrará en Norteamérica (como torneo de todos contra todos). Otra primicia para la edición de 2024: el Torneo de Candidatos y el Torneo de Candidatas se organizarán en las mismas fechas bajo un mismo techo.
Ocho jugadores de cada categoría se han abierto paso a través del arduo proceso de clasificación para ganarse la oportunidad de convertirse en el aspirante al título mundial y enfrentarse a Ding Liren (absoluto) y Ju Wenjun (femenino) a finales de año.
