14/03/2011 – Quizá el culpable de que su compatriota Ellisiv Reppen (en la foto) esté participando en el Abierto de Reykjavik, sea Magnus Carlsen. Desde luego, parece que los éxitos de Carlsen han causado el despegue del ajedrez en Noruega y eso también se refleja en el número de participantes de dicho país en Islandia. Por detrás de los islandeses (67 participantes) y los alemanes (18), los noruegos forman el tercer grupo más grande de ajedrecistas (14) Hasta ahora, el noruego más exitoso está siendo el GM Jon Ludvig Hammer.
