17/03/2004 – La FIDE tiene el placer de anunciar en su web que la capital libia albergará el Campeonato del Mundo de Ajedrez FIDE que se disputará entre el 18 de junio y el 13 de julio de 2004 bajo el mecenazgo de Muammar El Gadafi, que también aportará la bolsa de premios.
