14/06/2003 – Desde el día 13 de junio y hasta el próximo 22 se disputa la quinta edición de este torneo, en formato de liga a una vuelta, que enfrentar a Vladimir Akopian, Viktor Korchnoi, Evgeny Bareev, Michael Adams, Judit Polgar, Joël Lautier, Teimour Radjabov, Christian Bauer, Laurent Fressinet y Boris Gelfand. Con tal nómina de inscritos alcanza la categoría XVII con una media Elo de 2669. Tras la ronda incial Bareev y Gelfand, que se impusieron con negras a  Akopian y Korchnoi, son los líderes.
