Vaznonis Vytautas gana el Campeonato de la OTAN

07/09/2007 – Finalmente no pudo ser y el español Abel Carrascoso fue derrotado por el vencedor del torneo, el lituano Vaznonis Vytautas (6/7), en la última ronda del torneo, con lo que "solo" terminó cuarto. Joaquín Razola García quedó el 55 y no pudo repetir su excelente actuación del año pasado, cuando fue galardonado con el premio a la belleza por su bonito juego. Los otros dos españoles, Aurelio Sanchez y Francisco Cuadrado, ocuparon los puestos 38 y 62 respectivamente. Hoy por la tarde se disputa un torneo de ajedrez relámpago y por la noche se realizará la ceremonia de clausura. Reportaje final...

XVIII Campeonato de Ajedrez de la OTAN

Finalmente no pudo ser y Abel Carrascoso cayó derrotado en la última ronda a manos del vencedor del torneo, el lituano Vaznonis Vytautas.

El español quedó cuarto clasificado. Este año el ajedrez militar español se ha consagrado, ya que a este excelente torneo de Carrascoso que le deja en un meritorio 4º puesto, hay que sumar el premio a la belleza que Joaquín Razola García, un poco más bajo de forma en esta edición, consiguió el pasado año.

Esta tarde se disputará un torneo de ajedrez relámpago y a continuación se llevará a cabo la entrega de trofeos y la cena de clausura.
