Richard Rapport y Maxime Vachier-Lagrave son los ganadores del segundo día de Armageddon
La segunda jornada comenzó con una batalla entre los genios creativos Richard Rapport y Jorden Van Foreest.
La partida empezó bien para Jorden, que consiguió atrapar al rey de Richard en una red de mates. Sin embargo, en la segunda partida, Richard logró una victoria con negras e igualó el marcador. En la partida Armagedón, Jorden, con las piezas blancas, estaba en una situación en la que debería haber ganado, pero Richard mostró su solidez, simplificó con calma la posición y finalmente ganó la partida y decidió el duelo a su favor.
En el segundo duelo de la segunda jornada, Matthias Bluebaum se enfrentó al legendario Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. En la primera partida, Maxime jugó con brillantez, controló el juego y obtuvo una victoria sin problemas. Por lo tanto, Matthias necesitaba ganar. En la segunda partida, planteó la defensa francesa, pero no le funcionó lo suficientemente bien, y Maxime ganó el duelo 2:0.
