14/03/2002 – El ya tradicional torneo combinado de rápidas y a la ciega se desarrollará entre los días 16 y 28 de marzo, en el hotel Metropole de Mónaco, patrocinado por el mecenas J.J. van Oosterom. La nómina de participantes es excepcional. Por orden alfabético: Almasi, Bareev, Gelfand, Ivanchuk, Kramnik, Leko, Ljubojevic, Morozevich, Piket, Shirov, Topalov y van Wely.
