XVII Magistral Ciudad de León

21/01/2004 – Se disputará entre el 3 y el 7 de junio en la ciudad española, con la participación de Alexei Shirov, Peter Svidler, Teimour Radjabov y Francisco Vallejo. Repite el menorquín con relación a la edición del pasado año y también se reiterará el formato, es decir, se jugará por el sistema de eliminatorias, con semifinales y final. Como en años anteriores, se anuncian un buen numero de actividades paralelas, principalmente encaminadas a los niños y aficionados al ajedrez: sesiones de simultaneas a cargo de Teimour Radjabov y Peter Svidler, semana de cine...
