XXXIX Memorial Capablanca

20/05/2004 – Leinier Domínguez (9/11) en el grupo Elite, se sumó a Nogueiras (Premier II) y Sulennis Piña (Mixto) para conformar el trío de cubanos vencedores de la trigésimonovena edición del Memorial Capablanca. En el Premier I la victoria se la adjudicó Roman Slobodjan. Domínguez y Bruzón (segundo clasificado, 8,5/11) lograron unos rendimientos Elo espectaculares: 2808 y 2758 respectivamente, que constituyen un record en la historia del torneo.
