14/12/2020 – Lo que parecía ser algo imposible se hizo realidad. Contra todos los pronósticos la Federación de Ajedrez de Puerto Rico y su presidente Francisco J. Cruz Arce se lanzo a la tarea de presentarle una propuesta al Gobierno de Puerto Rico con el propósito de cerrar el año con la celebración del Campeonato de Puerto Rico 2020. 18/04/2016 – Entre el 1 y el 11 de abril se disputó el Campeonato de Puerto Rico de Ajedrez Individual Absoluto. Tras 11 rondas, Mark Machín se coronó campeón al ser el único en sumar 9 puntos.
