10/12/2019 – Entre el 24 de noviembre y el 5 de diciembre se disputó el Campeonato Absoluto Individual de Italia. Se coronó campeón GM Alberto David. En paralelo también se disputaron el Campeonato Femenino de Italia y el Campeonato de Italia en la categoría sub-20. 09/01/2019 – Entre el 26 y el 30 de diciembre de 2018, el pueblo italiano de Arco en las orillas del Lago de Garda, fue anfitrión del IX Torneo de Navidad de Arco. Participaron 72 ajedrecistas: 32 en el grupo A y 40 en el grupo C. 06/12/2018 – El Campeonato de Italia se disputó en Salerno, al sur de Napoli. El Campeonato Absoluto Individual se disputó como torneo de liga con 12 participantes. Finalmente se coronó campeón el que había sido Campeón sub-20 de Italia el año pasado, Lorenzo Lodici. Había terminado empatado por 7,5/9 puntos con Alberto David, pero se impuso en el duelo de desempate de partidas rápidas 2:0. 24/10/2017 – Nikita Petrov, ganador de la edición del año pasado, logró repetir éxito en 2017, en la prueba que se disputa en el norte de Italia, a orillas del lago Garda. Petrov sumó 8 puntos en 9 rondas. Segunda fue Valeriane Gaprindashvili con 7/9. 01/11/2016 – A mediados de octubre, se disputó el XXXVIII Festival de Ajedrez "Lago Garda", en Arco (Italia), en la orilla norte del lago. Tras 9 rondas, Nikita Petrov se coronó campeón con 8 puntos. 24/06/2016 – Entre el 12 y el 19 de junio se disputó el VII Festival de Ajedrez "Dolomiti" en Forni di Sopra (Italia) Acudieron 111 jugadores que compitieron en 2 grupos. Lo organizó la "Accademia Internazionale di scacchi“ de Perugia con Roberto Mogranzini y Martha Fierro.
