Javier Vargas Pereira

Periodista especializado en ajedrez. En Chile, su país natal, fue profesor de filosofía y consejero de asuntos juveniles del presidente Salvador Allende (de 1970 a 1973). En México, donde reside desde 1975, ha sido vendedor de libros, editor y profesor.

Oscar Panno: “El ajedrez es cruel”

01/06/2020 – Oscar Panno nació el 17 de marzo de 1935 en Buenos Aires y fue uno de los más grandes exponentes del ajedrez argentino. Ganó el Mundial Juvenil en 1953 y llegó a jugar el Torneo de Candidatos de 1956. Quedó tercero en el Interzonal de Gotemburgo de 1955, por delante de jugadores del calibre de Efim Geller, Tigran Petrosián o Boris Spassky.
