06/03/2024 – Entre el 23 y el 27 de febrero del 2024, en Caracas, se disputó en las instalaciones del Grand Hotel Altamira Village, el Campeonato Nacional de Máxima Categoría, contienda que reunió a los ajedrecistas de más alto nivel de Venezuela. En el Campeonato Femenino de Venezuela se coronó campeona la MI Tairú Rovira, con 6,5 puntos de 8 posibles. Por su parte la prueba absoluta la ganó el Maestro Internacional Félix Ynojosa, al sumar 7 puntos en 9 rondas. 07/02/2020 – Entre el 25 y el 30 de enero del 2020, en Guarenas Edo. Miranda, se disputó en las instalaciones del Grand Hotel, el Campeonato Nacional de máxima categoría, contienda que reunió a los ajedrecistas de más alto nivel de Venezuela. En el Campeonato Femenino de Venezuela, se coronó campeona la maestra internacional, Tairú Rovira, con 8 puntos de 9 posibles. Por su parte, la prueba absoluta la ganó el maestro FIDE Franklin Palomo, al sumar 8 puntos en 9 rondas, obteniendo por su desempeño norma de maestro internacional. Ambos campeones terminaron invictos y lograron su puesto en el equipo nacional olímpico de Venezuela. La Olimpíada de Ajedrez se disputará del 5 al 9 de agosto en Moscú, Rusia.
