Manuel Weeks ha sido árbitro internacional, entrenador nacional en varios Campeonatos del Mundo Juveniles, jefe de prensa y director en varios torneos y ha atendido a once olimpiadas de ajedrey como capitán de equipo para el equipo de Australia. Manuel nació en España, vivió en Australia y ahora es residente de Londres junto con su esposa alemana, Brigitta.
18/10/2016 – Desde 2007, Judit Polgar organiza un gran festival de ajedrez en su ciudad, Budapest. Comenzó con unas simultáneas en 100 tableros a cargo de las tres hermanas Polgar, pero cada año han ido aumentando el espectáculo y las actividades, con lo que el "Global Chess Festival" se ha convertido en un gran acontecimiento.
