Se trata de una recopilación de 30 de los artículos que Azuaga ha escrito en Diario SUR, a los que se le añade un prólogo de Miguel Illescas, una introducción y algunos pequeños retoques. La presentación del nuevo libro de Manuel Azuaga: "Cuentos, jaques y leyendas"
El acto fue un éxito de público. Una vez se completó el aforo de la sala principal, se abrió una sala contigua con una pantalla en la que el resto de asistentes podían disfrutar de la retransmisión en directo. El periodista Antonio Javier López (Diario SUR) fue el encargado de moderar una agradable charla con Azuaga en la que transitaron por algunos de los pasajes y personajes que protagonizan el libro. Un libro que, en palabras de su autor, «no trata de enseñar a jugar al ajedrez, más bien pretende acercar este juego como un bien cultural y literario».
