El duelo entre Rusia y Hungría concluyó empatado a 2:2 lo cual garantizaba la medalla de oro a los rusos. Los otros duelos en la cima fueron Armenia vs. Georgia y Francia vs. Holanda. Los armenios vencieron 3:1 a los georgianos y los franceses se impusieron a Holanda 2,5:1,5. Armenía es el equipo con la mejor valoración de desempates y se lleva la medalla de plata, por delante de los húngaros que ganaron bronce.

Las jugadoras rusas conquistaron oro con una clara victoria de 3:1 frente a Alemania. En todo el torneo tan solo empataron una sola vez (contra Ucrania) y por lo tanto terminaron con el espectular resultado de 17 puntos de 18 posibles. Las ucranias vencieron 3,5:0,5 a las holandesas y ocuparon el segundo puesto con 15/18 puntos, mientras que Georgia empató con Austria 2:2 y ganó bronce con 14/18.
