Tania Sachdev es uno de los personajes más llamativos en el ajedrez femenino internacional. A la jugadora del equipo nacional de India, le encanta viajar y participar en torneos en todas partes del mundo. Además la contratan a menudo como comentarista en los torneos de elite. Por ejemplo, fue comentarista en el duelo por el título mundial entre Vishy Anand y Magnus Carlsen en 2013, en Chennai. Dicho lo cual, Tania también es una excelente monitora de ajedrez. En el estudio de ChessBase en Hamburgo, la carismática india ha grabado dos DVDs de entrenamiento.
