El torneo Tata Steel Chess 2026 es la 88.ª edición del tradicional torneo anual que se celebra en Wijk aan Zee, Países Bajos. El evento se disputa del 17 de enero al 1 de febrero y vuelve a presentar la estructura tradicional con dos secciones paralelas, Masters y Challengers, cada una con 14 jugadores que compiten en un todos contra todos a una vuelta.
El ritmo de juego es de 120 minutos para 40 jugadas, seguidos de 30 minutos para el resto de la partida, con un incremento de 30 segundos a partir de la jugada 41.
En caso de empate por el primer puesto, el campeón se decidirá mediante un desempate a partidas de blitz, de acuerdo con el reglamento oficial del torneo. Los premios en metálico se repartirán a partes iguales.
