Peter Svidler se había incorporado al equipo de comentaristas y analizó las partidas de desempate en directo con Sergei Shipov. Le interrumpieron cuando la última partida había terminado para asistir al sorteo de los colores para la final del Grand Prix. Svidler va a jugar con blancas en la primera partida. Hoy es día de descanso en Bakú. Los jugadores van a tener un momento para tomarse un respiro antes de dirigir sus pasos hacia la interesantísima final, al mejor de cuatro.
