Desde la Perla del Mar Negro
Víktor Moskalenko nació en Odesa (Ucrania) en 1960. "La Perla del Mar Negro" es una ciudad en el sur de Ucrania y es el destino preferido de los rusos y los ucranianos durante las vacaciones.
Hace 40 años que se dedica por completo al ajedrez (es FIDE Trainer Senior desde 2017). Alcanzó el título de Maestro Internacional a la edad de 28 años. El título de Gran Maestro llegó en 1992 cuando consiguió su última norma de GM.
En su carrera como jugador ha conseguido una inmensa cantidad de títulos y algunas victorias memorables contra jugadores como Morozevich, Sveshnikov y su compatriota David Bronstein, pero también es mundialmente conocido por haber sido el “segundo” de Vassily Ivanchuk.
Víktor fue campeón ucraniano (1987) y múltiple campeón catalán (2001, 2005 y 2007). Residente en Barcelona desde finales del siglo pasado, fue en el año 2001 cuando comenzó a escribir artículos en la revista Peón Negro. Fue entonces cuando descubrió su vocación de escritor de libros. En la actualidad tiene numerosos libros publicados.
El Maestro de los Maestros
Aproveché la entrevista para pedirle un pequeño favor, al que él accedió con mucha humildad. Este último domingo, mi alumno Kauan Teles se consagró campeón brasileño sub-12. En la ronda decisiva, Kauan jugó una Defensa Francesa que preparamos antes de comenzar el torneo. Por increíble que parezca, varias de las ideas que le repase a mi alumno, fueron tomadas del libro que Víktor escribió sobre la Defensa Francesa. No pueden perderse la calidad de los análisis de Moskalenko, que seguramente, mi alumno algún día repasará para alguna otra persona.
Pero esa no es su única experiencia con jugadores brasileños, ya que ha sido capitán y entrenador de las selecciones brasileñas que disputaron las olimpiadas de Estambul 2012 (Rafael Leitão, Giovanni Vescovi, Alexandr Fier, Gilberto Milos y Krikor Mekhitarian) y Batumi 2018 (Rafael Leitão, Alexandr Fier, Luis Paulo Supi, Krikor Mekhitarian y Felipe El Debs).
