11/11/2023 – Entre el 11 y el 20 de noviembre se disputan los Campeonatos de Europa por Equipos en las secciones absoluta y femenina en Budva (Montenegro). El torneo se disputará por sistema suizo, a nueve rondas. La primera ronda brindó una gran sorpresa: en mesa 1, el equipo de Azerbaiyán, favorito según la valoración Elo promedia de los jugadores quedó derrotado por Dinamarca. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov perdió con Mads Andersen después de que su intento de lanzar un ataque ganador causó lo contrario. Rumanía, únicamente logró un empate con Austria. Noruega empató con Eslovaquia, a pesar de que Magnus Carlsen se apuntó una victoria en el primer tablero.
