El VII Chess Classic de Londres, el mejor torneo de Inglaterra, se disputará en el Centro Olímpico de Kensington entre el viernes 4 y el domingo 13 de diciembre de 2015. El torneo principal será el más fuerte disputado en Gran Bretaña. Será una competición a nueve rondas con 10 participantes. El control de tiempo es de 40 movimientos en 2 horas, seguido de una hora más para el resto de la partida, con un incremento de 30 segundos por jugada a partir del movimiento 41.
A pesar de haber ocupado el séptimo puesto en la Copa Sinquefield, Veselin Topalov sigue encabezando la general del circuito del Grand Chess Tour 2015, gracias a su excelente resultado en el Norway Chess. Hay tres premios de 75.000, 50.000 y 25.000 dólares estadounidenses para los tres mejores en la general.
