08/12/2023 – D Gukesh logró una guapa victoria contra Luke McShane (Inglaterra) en la sexta ronda del 13º London Chess Classic 2023. El número cuatro de Inglaterra se equivocó al intercambiar sus piezas de manera poco útil durante el final de la partida. Eso le facilitó mucho la labor a Gukesh. Jules Moussard (Francia) calculó mal en una posición ganadora contra la leyenda, Michael Adams (Inglaterra). Adams encontró el recurso necesitado y Jules acabó perdiendo la partida. El prodigio inglés, el MI Shreyas Royal consiguió defenderse bien y salvó unas tablas contra el GM Nikita Vitiugov, a pesar de que el primero había tenido una posición inferior durante la mayor parte de la partida. Adams sigue mandando en solitario con 4,5/6 puntos, seguido de Gukesh 4/6 y Tabatabaei 3,5/6. El Chess Classic de Londres es un torneo de todos contra todos con diez jugadores, nueve de los cuales son grandes maestros. Entre ellos estarán la estrella emergente del ajedrez indio, Dommaraju Gukesh, número 12 del mundo, y el estadounidense Hans Niemann, cuya sensacional victoria sobre el entonces campeón mundial Magnus Carlsen provocó un gran revuelo en el mundo del ajedrez.
El torneo tendrá lugar del viernes 1 de diciembre al domingo 10 de diciembre en el centro de Londres. El torneo está cerrado al público, pero toda la acción del torneo se retransmitirá en directo a través de internet en la web de Londonchessclassic.com.
