Los próximos campeonatos mundiales de ajedrez rápido y relámpago se van a disputar en Berlín. La FIDE lo había anunciado en su reunión en Chengdú en abril de 2015. Ahora se ha publicado un comunicado de prensa oficial y conjunto por FIDE y AGON. Será del 9 al 15 de octubre de 2015, en la fábrica de productos lácteos Meierei C. Bolle en Berlín.

El Campeón del Mundo, Magnus Carlsen es el defensor del título mundial de ajedrez relámpago. Pero ha comenzado con modestía: firmó tablas en la primera partida contra Ehsan Ghaem Maghani. En la segunda ronda, Carlsen se vio las caras con Dennis Wagner y se adjudicóla partida con una clara victoria posicional.

El Campeón del Mundo terminó la faena del día con unas tablas contra Yuri Krivoruchko

Mit 4 aus 5 liegt Carlsen allerdings einen halben Tag hinter Sergey Karjakin. Vor nicht ganz einer Woche hatte Karjakin in Baku nach einem Nerven aufreibenden Finale den World Cup gewonnen, nicht zuletzt dank seiner guten Fähigkeiten im Schnellschach und im Endspiel. Beides bewies er auch in Berlin. Sie verhalten ihm zu 4,5 Punkten aus 5 Partien und der alleinigen Tabelleführung.
