La Copa Sinquefield, parada final de la gira y un torneo sumamente emblemático del circuito del GCT (Grand Chess Tour), mantiene su formato clásico tradicional. Organizado anualmente por el Saint Louis Chess Club y dotado con 350.000 dólares en premios, el torneo más fuerte en suelo estadounidense será la última oportunidad para los competidores de ganar puntos en el Grand Chess Tour 2024 y, al final del torneo, se coronará a un nuevo campeón del circuito.

En este evento participarán nueve jugadores del circuito completo y un jugador comodín, el actual campeón del mundo, el chino Ding Liren.
