Debido al hecho que únicamente habrá 14 jugadores de la elite mundial, y al disputar el torneo en el polideportivo "De Moriaan", se ha podido desarrollar un concepto especial qeu permite cumplir con todas las medidas de seguridad sanitarias. Habrá pantallas de plástico alrededor de la parte donde jugarán los grandes maestros y habrá una entrada particular para los jugadores. Aún no se sabe con seguridad si podrá haber espectadores y cuántos durante de las partidas porque eso dependerá de las reglas actuales para evitar los contagios con el covid-19.
