14/06/2024 – En el Campeonato del Mundo Juvenil Absoluto sub-20, el GM Kazybek Nogerbek (Kazajistán) logró una gran victoria en la última ronda sobre el que había sido el líder, el GM Mamikon Gharibyan (ARM), y se llevó la medalla de oro con 8,5/11 puntos. El GM Emin Ohanyan (Armenia) obtuvo la misma cantidad de puntos pero tuvo que contentarse con la medalla de plata debido a la valoración de desempate. El GM Luka Budisavljevic (Serbia) ocupó el tercer puesto con 8/11En la sección femenina, MI Divya Deshmukh derrotó a la WGM Beloslava Krasteva (BUL) en la última ronda y conquistó el oro. Su puntuación fue de 10 puntos de 11 posibles. Sumó medio punto más que la más cercana perseguidora. Había sido la principal favorita y también es la vigente Campeona Femenina de Asia. WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan (ARM), había mantenido la persecución hasta el final. Con una puntuación de 9,5/11 se aseguró la medalla de plata. La WIM Ayan Allahverdiyeva (AZE) obtuvo 8,5/11 y ganó bronce.
