Entrevista con GM Oscar Panno

"De la entrevista con Panno, lo que me parécio mas importante es cuando el cuenta que despues de ser campeón mundial juvenil en 1951 y de ser 3° en el Interzonal de Gotemburgo en 1953, tuvo que dejar de jugar ajedrez por 4 años, para dedicarse a terminar su carrera de Ingeniero Civil.
A partir de aquí Panno estaría varias décadas jugando al ajedrez solo de forma parcial, ya que dedicaba la mayor parte de su tiempo a su trabajo de ingeniero en diversas empresas.
Eso me parece muy interesante porque abre una interrogante: ¿si Panno se hubiese dedicado de forma integra al ajedrez, podria haber sido campeón mundial absoluto? Yo creo que si".
La primera parte de la entrevista
Marcó la historia del ajedrez argentino a partir de los años 50 y su legado perdura hasta el día de hoy. El Gran Maestro Oscar Panno, o ``el ingeniero´´ como se le conoce popularmente, tiene un gran currículum. Campeón mundial juvenil, a los 20 años terminó 3° en el Interzonal de Gotemburgo de 1955, representó a Argentina 11 veces en Olimpiadas, donde obtuvo la medalla de bronce en el segundo tablero en 1958 y medalla de oro también en el segundo tablero en 1966. Recibió el nombramiento por parte de la Legislatura de Buenos Aires como Personalidad Destacada de la Cultura en el año 2006.
