Judit Polgar establece un récord Guinness
Miles de personas acudieron al Festival de Ajedrez Polgar en Budapest, organizado por la mejor jugadora de ajedrez de todos los tiempos que recientemente anunció su retirada del ajedrez profesional. El festival ofrecía un programa repleto y muy colorido y se llevó a cabo en el Palacio de Bellas Artes.
Los niños podían participar en actividades en el Palacio de Ajedrez en 3D, seguir clases, participar en torneos y disfrutar de manifestaciones artísticas y talleres de bricolaje ajedrecístico.

Hubo también una partida de ajedrez de cuento con personajes como Shrek y Fiona, representados por uno de los actores más populares de Hunría, Karoly Gesztesi y Judit Polgar. Entre los invitados especiales estaban Erno Rubik, inventor del famoso cubo, y Zurab Azmaiparashvili, recién elegido presidente de la ECU. Además acudieron diversos campeones olímpicos y del mundo de atletismo, artistas y personas importantes del mundo de los negocios y la política. El festival concluyó con una exhibición de partidas simultáneas a cargo de Judit Polgar.
