15/12/2023 – Por primera vez, la Gran Final del Champions Chess Tour se disputará de manera presencial. Los torneos clasificatorios se han disputado como torneos ciberénticos, a través de internet. Pero para la gran final, los ocho finalistas acudirán a Toronto, Canadá para enfrentarse en persona cara a cara. Mientras tanto se han clasificado para la final (a dos sets de cuatro partidas, más posible partida "a todo o nada" de desempate), Magnua Carlsen y Wesley So. Aquel de los dos que gane la gran final, será el Campeón del Champions Chess Tour 2023 y se llevará un premio en metálico de 200.000 dólares estadounidenses. La final - set 1: Magnus Carlsen vs. Wesley So
Los ganadores se enfrentarán en la gran final que durará dos días, los días 15 y 16 de diciembre. Los finalistas, Wesley So y Magnus Carlsen, disputarán dos "sets" a cuatro partidas en ambas jornadas. En el caso de un empate, disputarán una partida a todo o nada (Armagedón). En el caso de que al final de las dos jornadas de la final el marcador quedase igualado, disputarían otro duelo.
