Del 9 al 13 de abril se disputará el GRENKE Chess Open. El año pasado participaron casi 2.000 ajedrecístas y todo parece indicar que 2020 será otro año repleto de actividades y atracciones.
Hasta ahora ya se han inscrito unos 500 participantes para los tres torneos abiertos. En el abierto A se disputa una bolsa de premios de en total 70.000 euros de los cuales 20.000 euros serán para el ganador, que además recibirá una plaza en el Grenke Chess Classic del año siguiente.
Actualmente, el favorito es Lê Quang Liêm an. El gran maestro vietnamita tiene una valoración Elo de 2713 puntos y es el número 32 del escalafón mundial. Otros jugadores fuertes que se han inscrito son Andrei Esipenko (Elo 2654, Rusia), nacido en 2002 y dentro de las próximas semanas se espera que se inscribirán más jugadores titulados
Grenke Chess Classic
El sábado de Pascuas comenzará el GRENKE Chess Classic. El favorito de es Magnus Carlsen. Procurará defender su título también en este torneo y se verá las caras con colegas como Fabiano Caruana que también ya ha confirmado su participación.
De la cantera alemana participará Vincent Keymer, de 15 años.
