Subcampeón quedó el joven gran maestro uzbeco Nodirbek Yakubboev con 7/9. El actual Campeón del Mundo Juvenil, Parham Maghsoodloo quedó tercero. Baadur Jobava se coronó campeón del Abierto de Abu Dhabi 2019. Sumó 8/9 puntos en el torneo magistral. En total habían participado 150 jugadores, proveniendo de 28 países, entre ellos 124 jugadores titulados (48 grandes maestros, 7 WGM, 23 maestros internacionales y 10 MIF).

Peter Leko ganó los duelos de ajedrez rápido y relámpago
Peter Leko dejó el marcador de su duelo con Alexander Morozevich en 5:1 en las partidas rápidas y quedó invicto. Morozevich hasta le había planteado 1.g3 y la Bird en el desafío a seis partidas rápidas.
En el duelo de ajedrez relámpago, Peter Leko derrotó a Morozevich 6½:3½.

Los jugadores indios dominaron la sección juvenil
Los cinco primeros puestos en la sección juvenil fueron ocupados por jugadores indios: MF Pranesh M quedó invicto y dejó el marcador final en 8/9 puntos. Los tres jugadores . Kushagra Mohan, FM L R Srihari, FM Aaryan Varshney sumaron 7,5/9 puntos, respectivamente.
