¿De qué va este proyecto?
El documental "Destruction of Time" (La destrucción del tiempo) va a ser una película documental tipo "essay", que tendrá un metraje de apróximadamente 80 minutos. El argumento serán las interrelaciones entre el ajedrez, el arte, la ciencia, la metafísica y la filosofía. Vamos a intentar buscar respuestas a la siguientes cuestiones y otras muchas más de una manera jugetona e imaginativa:
¿Cómo se puede transformar la complejidad del ajedrez en arte y vice versa?
¿Qué tal está la vida en "Chess City", en Kalmukia, se trata de un subjeto federal de Rusia?
¿Y de qué va eso de establecer el ajedrez como religión estatal por ahí?
¿Fue capaz Napoleon a derrotar la primera máquina de ajedrez de la historia?
¿Y por qué esa máquina llevaba el nombre "El Turco"?
¿Qué papel tiene el ajedrez en la neurociencia?
¿Es verdad que el ajedrez sea un juego bélico?
¿En qué sentido le ayudó a Stanley Kubrick a la hora de dirigir sus películas?
¿Cuándo el ajedrez-boxeo por fin se convertirá en disciplina olímpica?
¿Por qué la huida terminó en Islandia la huida de Bobby Fischer, el lugar donde hace 1000 años Canuto el Grande dejó matar a su oponente de ajedrez?
¿El ajedrez sirve para sobrepasar los límites de la imaginación?
¿El ajedrez puede hacer que te vuelvas loco? ¿O sea que se pueda encontrar el porque de la vida en el ajedrez?
No solamente procuramos recaudar fondos para poder financiar la película sino también buscamos sugerencias para más cuestiones relacionadas con el ajedrez y sus peculiaridades para que se puedan incluir en el documental. ¿Cuál es la meta del proyecto y a quiénes se dirige?
El largometraje, una vez que esté listo, debe salir en los festivales de cine internacionales. Nos encantaría si pudiéramos hablar con canales de televisión y empresas distribuidoras de películas. La película no solamente será interesante para seguidores de ajedrez sino para cualquiera que se interese por curiosidades entretenidas.
¿Por qué debería uno apoyar dicho proyecto?
Porque si no se recaudan los fondos necesarios, la película igual no se podrá hacer. Igual entonces nos perderíamos una historia tremenda. Además también es posible apoyar la película en forma de ideas y sugerencias.
¿Cómo utilizaremos el dinero en el caso de que el proyecto se pueda financiar exitosamente?
Entonces haremos la película. Tenemos muchas ganas de hacer esta película con lo cual hemos calculado un presupuesto que es mucho inferior al que normalmente requiere la producción de una película de este tipo. Pero aún así quedan muchas cosas que cubrir como, por ejemplo, el equipamento técnico, las licencias, tasas de alquiler y los gastos de viaje. Al fin y al cabo tenemos previsto grabar algunas escenas también en Chess City, Kalmukia y en Islandia.
