Lugar y fecha del Torneo de Candidatos 2016

05/11/2015 – La FIDE los ha hecho oficiales. Se disputará entre el 10 y el 30 de marzo de 2016 en Moscú. Lo patrocinará Tashir Group, cuyo propietario es el millonario armenio Samvel Karapetyan, que ya patrocinó el Memorial Petrosian el año pasado. estarán Anand, Nakamura, Caruana, Karjakin, Svidler y Topalov. La octava y última plaza se adjudicará también por Elo. De momento los candidatos son Anish Giri y Vladimir Kramnik, aunque Giri va con ventaja bastante clara.
