Torneo de Mónaco del Gran Prix Femenino de la FIDE 2015
En la quinta ronda, Mariya firmó unas tablas rápidas con su hermana mayor, Anna, permitiéndole a sus más cercanas perseguidoras acortar la distancia. Hou Yifan ganó una partida muy difícil contra Almira Skripchenko y con 3,5/5 puntos actualmente está compartiendo el segundo puesto. Con la misma puntuación van Humpy Koneru (tras haber derrotado a Nana Dzagnidze en relativamente poco tiempo) y Pia Cramling (quien se impuso a Sarasadat Khademalsharieh en un final muy didáctico) Kosteniuk y Zhukova jugaron una partida muy agresiva que finalmente concluyó en unas tablas limpias tras el control de tiempo. La última partida en terminar fue el duelo entre Pogonina y Stefanova cuya batalla se extendió a 113 movimientos, siendo la partida más larga del torneo hasta ahora. La búlgara ganó un dramático final después de que ambos bandos hubiesen cometido diversos errores.
