08/09/2021 – La ronda 2 del torneo Norway Chess nos brindó unas partidas muy reñidas y emocionantes. Eso sí, los duelos en la modalidad de ajedrez clásico concluyeron en tablas todos. En los duelos de desempate, se impusieron Magnus Carlsen, Richard Rapport e Ian Nepomniachtchi, respectivmamente. Sistema de puntuación: una victoria vale 3 puntos, un empate vale 1 punto, una derrota vale 0 puntos.
Sistema de desempate: partida a todo o nada (Armageddon), las blancas tienen 10 minutos, las negras 7 minutos (si empatan, ganan).
Un empate por el primer puesto será decidido a través de dos partidas de ajedrez relámpago 3+2, y de ser necesario se disputaría una partida a todo o nada (con 5 minutos para las blancas y la obligación de ganar, y 4 minutos para las negras que ganarán si logran empatar).
