XI Norway Chess 2023

El torneo Norway Chess 2023 se disputará del 29 de mayo al 9 de junio en Stavanger. Nodirbek Abdusattorov y Dommaraju Gukesh debutarán en el supertorneo noruego. Magnus Carlsen, que ganó el torneo en cinco ocasiones, también estará presente, junto a jugadores de la talla de Alireza Firouzja, Hikaru Nakamura y Wesley So.
El torneo se disputará por sistema de liga, a 9 rondas, con unas reglas de desempate algo peculiares (véase en la parte inferior de la noticia). El Norway Chess se juega a una sola vuelta con una partida a muerte súbita (Armagedón) tras cada partida empatada. Las rondas 1-9 del torneo principal se jugarán del 29 de mayo al 9 de junio. Habrá dos días libres: el 2 de junio, cuando tendrán lugar los Norway Chess Games, y el 7 de junio.
