Olimpiada de Ajedrez 2014 en Tromsø (Noruega)

03/10/2010 – Ayer, en el último día de la Asamblea General de la FIDE se decidió cuál será el lugar del encuentro de la XLI Olimpiada de Ajedrez. Había dos candidatas: Albena (Bulgaria) y Tromsø (Noruega). El procedimiento de las presentaciones duró varios días y finalmente los noruegos triunfaron con un resultado de 97:47 votos a su favor. Uno de los argumentos importantes habrá sido el impresionante presupuesto ofrecido por parte del Gobierno de Noruega: 15 millones de euros.
