15/09/2024 – La Olimpiada de Ajedrez de la FIDE de 2024 en Budapest tendrá lugar entre el 10 y el 22 de septiembre. Habrá competiciones por equipos en las secciones absoluta y femenina. En la sección absoluta se han inscrito 197 equipos (98 duelos/ronda -> 392 partidas pero ronda) y en la sección femenina participarán 184 equipos (92 duelos/ ronda -> 368 partidas por ronda). Es decir que habrá 760 partidas por ronda, con 190 duelos por ronda. Hay retransmisiones en directo de las partidas en live.chessbase.com y dentro de esta noticia. 45ª Olimpiada de Ajedrez R05: Vietnam, Armenia y Mongolia dan la campanada
India está destacando tanto en la sección abierta como en la femenina de la 45ª Olimpiada de Ajedrez de Budapest. En la sección abierta, el equipo indio derrotó a Azerbaiyán por un contundente 3-1, con dos victorias y dos empates. Gukesh D y Arjun Erigaisi ganaron sus partidas, mientras que Vidit Gujrathi estuvo a punto de derrotar a Mamedyarov, pero perdió su oportunidad. En la sección femenina, India se impuso a Kazajistán por 2,5 a 1,5 puntos. Ambas escuadras están desplegando un juego seguro y han evitado hasta ahora los partidos igualados, a diferencia de otros favoritos. ¿Mantendrán este buen ritmo durante la segunda mitad del torneo, y quién les plantará cara?
En la siguiente ronda, Gukesh y su equipo se enfrentarán a la anfitriona, Hungría. En la ronda 5, este consistente equipo derrotó a Ucrania. Richard Rapport superó a Vasyl Ivanchuk, y todas las demás partidas acabaron en tablas. Hungría tiene un glorioso historial de victorias olímpicas, pero todas ellas se lograron en el siglo pasado: en 1927, 1928 y 1978. En total, Hungría ha ganado 12 medallas olímpicas, la última de ellas de plata en 2014. El equipo de Péter Lékó, Csaba Balogh, Zoltán Almási, Richárd Rapport y Judit Polgár terminó por delante de India, que se hizo con el bronce. Diez años después, Richard Rapport lidera ahora el equipo, ansioso por superar ese resultado en su propio país.
China, en la sección abierta, también gana con regularidad, pero por estrechos márgenes. Tres tablas y una victoria de Wei Yi contra David Antón les aseguraron una victoria sobre España en la 5ª ronda. En la ronda 6, se enfrentarán al sensacional equipo de Vietnam. Tras derrotar a Uzbekistán, Vietnam continuó con su buena racha al derrotar a Polonia. Y de nuevo, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son (2633) y Le Tuan Minh (2564) ganaron sus partidas, esta vez contra Radoslaw Wojtaszek (2681) y Mateusz Bartel (2618), respectivamente. Con 4,5/5, tras derrotar a Sindarov y Bartel, la puntuación de Le Tuan Minh es actualmente de 2810. Este joven de 27 años se convirtió en el 13º gran maestro de Vietnam en 2022. También es un streamer que juega regularmente al ajedrez en línea y tiene en su haber la victoria del Titled Tuesday.
En la sección femenina, las líderes junto a India son Armenia y Mongolia. Ambos equipos tumbaron a los favoritos en la quinta ronda. Armenia causó sensación al vencer a China. Anna Sargsyan (2364) derrotó a Lu Miaoyi (2438), de 14 años, Elina Danielian (2393) empató con Ni Shiqun (2348) y, tras la derrota de Mariam Mkrtchyan (2328) ante Song Yuxin (2373), el marcador quedó 1,5-1,5. El resultado se decidió en la partida del primer tablero, en la que Lilit Mktchian (2366) fue precisa contra Zhu Jiner (2487), quien, viendo los demás tableros, presionó demasiado para ganar y acabó en inferioridad de condiciones.
Mongolia se impuso a Estados Unidos por 2,5-1,5. Munkhzul Turmunkh (2256) superó a Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova (2380) en el primer tablero para asegurarse la victoria, ya que todas las demás partidas terminaron en tablas. Mientras que India se enfrentará a Armenia en la siguiente ronda, Mongolia se verá las caras con una de las favoritas del torneo, Georgia, que se encuentra a un punto de los líderes.
