10/11/2017 – Magnus Carlsen se impuso en todas las partidas, pero los 13 jugadores le plantearon batallas muy dignas. El grupo de participantes era muy interesante: se pudo apuntar la estrella de fútbol Marco Bode y en el último momento participó un político noruego, tres jugadores muy jóvenes, pero muy talentosos, varios "adictos" a la aplicación "Play Magnus", una chica austriaca que disputó su primera partida de verdad (digamos que no cuenta aquella que jugó con su amiga que le enseñó mal las reglas ni la que jugó contra su hermano, dándose cuenta de lo anterior). El año pasado se compró su primer teléfono inteligente y comenzó a aprender ajedrez con la aplicación. Una velada de simultáneas en la ciudad de ChessBase
Play Magnus en colaboración con el periódico alemán Die Zeit, el hotel Atlantic Kempinski y ChessBase presentaron una exihibición de partidas simultáneas a cargo del Campeón del Mundo de Ajedrez Magnus Carlsen. La cita fue el jueves, 9 de noviembre, a partir de las 19:00 CET. Magnus Carlsen se enfrentó a 12 fuertes aficionados.
Se trataba de unas simultáneas con reloj, con 30 minutos por jugador para toda la partida. Magnus contaba con 30 minutos para las 12 partidas.
