Diseñado para el aprendizaje de las matemáticas, y basado en la estructura del ajedrez clásico, Yamie Chess une los componentes lúdicos con el enfoque cognitivo a través de dibujos con el clásico juego de ajedrez. Se trabaja con la comprensión visual-espacial, de manera que los niños puedan explorar las matemáticas (sobre todo en los ámbitos del algebra y la geometría) a través del ajedrez y con dibujos y personajes que tienen sus propios carácteres y representan a los hombrecitos del ajedrez.
